    1969

    Founder Tan Ah Lye established Sin Heng Machinery as a sole proprietor, crane operator and owner

    1980s

    Built up Sin Heng's reputation in the infrastructure sector as a crane rental operator.

    Involved in prominent projects eg Newton Circle Flyover - one of the first dual carriage flyovers in Singapore, AYE and CTE

    1987

    One of the first to register all terrain cranes, with the then Registry of Vehicles for use on Singapore road

  • 1990 ~ 1996

    1990s

    Overseas crane trade: Started selling cranes to customers in Indonesia and Malaysia

    Built up a network of trading customers spanning USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa

    Made in-roads into the oil and gas industry; prominent projects included reclamation of Jurong Island, Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore's petrochemical complex

    1996

    Entered into the aerial lifts business when the Group purchased their first boom-lifts and scissor lifts

  • 2001 ~ 2009

    2001

    Completed construction of new headquarters at 26 Gul Road and consolidated the Group's operations at current Gul Road premises

    2009

    Established subsidiary in Vietnam in January 2009.

    Established subsidiary in Malaysia in April 2009

    Third place winner in Enterprise 50 Awards in October 2009

  • 2010 ~ current

    2010

    Listed on the Singapore Exchange

    Awarded Kobelco distributorship in 2010 for all existing and new models of Kobelco cranes, spare parts and services.

    Awarded Kato dealership in 2010 for dealing in Hydraulic Terrain cranes, Rough Terrain cranes and All Terrain cranes and provide after sales services.

    2012

    Toyota Tsusho Corporation acquires 27% in Sin Heng and signs Business Alliance Agreement with Sin Heng

    Awarded Mighty Crane dealership in 2012 for mini crawler cranes, parts and services.

    2013

    Established subsidiary in Myanmar in Jan 2013

    Established subsidiary in Indonesia in April 2013

    2014

    Awarded Arcomet distributorship in 2014 for self-erecting cranes for most ASEAN countries.

    2015

    Established subsidiary in Hong Kong in March 2015.
